*Job DescriptionPosition:* Assistant Manager – Engineering *Department:* Engineering *Key Responsibilities* * Lead and oversee mechanical engineering operations to ensure smooth and uninterrupted plant performance. * Plan, implement, and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for production equipment and utilities. * Supervise the maintenance team and ensure efficient utilization of manpower and resources. * Ensure optimal performance, reliability, and availability of plant machinery and equipment. * Coordinate equipment breakdown analysis, root cause investigations, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). * Ensure compliance with GMP, safety standards, engineering SOPs, and regulatory requirements. * Monitor engineering KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency. * Support engineering projects, equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities. * Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Validation, and other cross-functional departments to minimize downtime and improve productivity. * Manage engineering contractors and service providers to ensure quality and timely execution of work. * Maintain engineering documentation, maintenance records, calibration schedules, and audit readiness. * Promote a culture of safety, technical excellenc…
