Job Description The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and documentation of electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects. The role includes power, lighting, low-current systems, and LV/MV electrical design in compliance with applicable codes and standards. Key Roles & Responsibilities Design building electrical systems, including power, lighting, communication, and CCTV. Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) for LV and MV systems. Perform electrical load calculations, short-circuit calculations, and equipment sizing. Develop LV and MV electrical designs, including transformers, switchgear, panels, and distribution systems. Design and coordinate low-current systems such as data, communication, fire alarm interface, and CCTV. Prepare design drawings, specifications, and BOQs in accordance with project requirements. Ensure compliance with international and local electrical codes and standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, etc.). Coordinate with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines to resolve design interfaces. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 1 years of experience in electrical design (adjust as needed). knowledge of LV/MV systems and building services design.
