About the Role Reporting to the 2IC Field Services, the Field Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting maintenance activities and ensuring the ongoing availability of Combat Training Centre – Live Instrumentation System (CTC-LIS) equipment. This hands-on role supports the preparation, deployment and maintenance of CTC-LIS Relay Stations, including diagnosis and repair of telecommunications equipment such as UHF, microwave and LTE systems, as well as basic servicing and maintenance of diesel-powered generators. This position requires significant time deployed away from Townsville to various Australian Army and non-Defence training areas. During Force-on-Force exercise phases, you will work in a small team environment providing 24-hour maintenance coverage in the field.
