Job DescriptionJob Title Generator Operator & Mechanic Reports To Administration Manager Job Purpose To ensure the uninterrupted operation of diesel generators by operating, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing generators and associated equipment. The role is responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, maintaining fuel records, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Key ResponsibilitiesGenerator Operation * Operate diesel generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply during utility outages. * Start, stop, synchronize, and monitor generators according to operational requirements. * Monitor generator performance, load distribution, voltage, frequency, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel levels. * Conduct routine inspections before and after generator operation. Preventive Maintenance * Perform scheduled preventive maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. * Change engine oil, oil filters, fuel filters, air filters, coolant, and other consumables as scheduled. * Inspect batteries, belts, hoses, radiators, alternators, and starter motors. * Ensure generators remain in operational condition through periodic testing.
