Job Description: Generator Operator The Generator Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of standby generators and related power systems in a multistorey commercial facility. The role ensures uninterrupted power supply to tenants, critical building systems, data and communication infrastructure, elevators, fire and life-safety systems, HVAC equipment, lighting, and other essential services during power failures or emergencies. The operator must work closely with the facilities, electrical, security, safety, and tenant-support teams while maintaining minimal disruption to software companies and other occupants. ### Key Responsibilities - Operate and monitor diesel or gas generators, automatic transfer switches, control panels, and associated electrical equipment. - Conduct routine generator inspections, including checks of: - Fuel level and fuel leakage - Engine oil and coolant levels - Battery condition and charger status - Belts, hoses, exhaust system, and radiator - Voltage, frequency, amperage, and operating hours - Abnormal noise, vibration, smoke, or overheating - Start, stop, and transfer generator loads safely during power outages, scheduled tests, and emergency situations. - Ensure reliable power supply to critical building services, including: - Fire alarm and firefighting systems - Elevator…
