Mechaincal Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities: Major Duties and Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC systems, generators, elevators, electrical, and Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure safety, efficiency, and continuous operation. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan. Test, maintain, and ensure the functionality of all safety equipment, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and fire suppression systems. Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance or repair tasks. Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and equipment logs, ensuring all work is properly documented. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to support uninterrupted operations. Manage inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, and supplies to ensure availability and cost control. Supervise and support maintenance staff, provide technical guidance, on-the-job training, and conduct annual performance evaluations. Develop and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and schedules in compliance with university safety and environmental regulations.
