The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for planning, monitoring and controlling the operation, maintenance, project functions, resources and staff with invaluable knowledge in an effective and efficient manner. Core Responsibilities: Core Responsibilities Operation & Maintenance - Support in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems such as pumps, compressors, conveyors, dryers, fans, motors, and utility equipment. Assist senior engineers in troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring equipment reliability. Gain exposure to basic electrical and instrumentation systems. Project Support - Provide assistance in small-scale modifications and improvement projects. Support documentation, BOQ preparation, and coordination with vendors under the guidance of senior engineers. Learn project management practices by contributing to timelines and progress tracking. Inventory Assistance - Help maintain workshop inventory and preventive maintenance checklists. Assist in identifying critical spare parts, updating records, and following up on material deliveries to ensure smooth equipment operation. Contractor Coordination - Support senior staff in supervising contractors for routine maintenance and minor project jobs.
