Mechanical Maintenance Engineer -

A mechanical maintenance engineer in a wire and cable plant keeps heavy machinery running smoothly. They fix broken extruders, wire drawing machines, and spoolers. They inspect gears, motors, and hydraulic systems. They aim to stop machine failures before they happen. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Preventive Maintenance (PM):* Run routine checks on machines to catch issues early (e.g., lubricating gears, changing oil, replacing worn belts). * *Breakdown Recovery:* Fix failed equipment quickly to reduce downtime and meet production goals. * *Root Cause Analysis (RCA):* Investigate why parts fail and find ways to make machines last longer. * *Spare Parts Management:* Track inventory, order needed mechanical parts, and approve invoices. * *Safety Compliance:* Follow strict safety rules like Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) to protect workers. *Common Qualifications:* * A *Bachelor's degree* in Mechanical Engineering. * Experience in a *manufacturing* or *industrial plant* (cable or extrusion experience is a plus). * Knowledge of *hydraulics*, *pneumatics*, gearboxes, and power transmission. * Ability to use a *CMMS* (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to track repair tasks. * Should have a knowledge of Extruder, drumtwister, stranding Machines and all Work Location: In person
