*Job Description* We are seeking a skilled and motivated Optical Transmission Engineer to join our team and support the operation, maintenance, and optimization of our optical transport network infrastructure. *Key Responsibilities* * Perform shift duties in a 24x7 Network Operations Center (NOC) environment for the optical transport network. * Monitor, operate, and maintain optical transmission systems, including SDH, DWDM, and OTN networks. * Analyze and respond to alarms generated by optical transmission equipment, ensuring timely fault identification and resolution. * Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities on optical network infrastructure. * Perform regular health checks of network nodes, optical links, and fiber media to ensure network stability and performance. * Troubleshoot transmission network faults and coordinate restoration activities to minimize service impact. * Coordinate with local and international partners for service testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities. * Conduct Bit Error Rate Testing (BERT) and other validation procedures for new and existing services. * Maintain operational records, reports, and documentation related to network performance and incidents. * Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support network operations and service delivery.
