Own product quality across the manufacturing floor — from incoming material through in-process checks to final inspection and shipment release. You'll set inspection standards, catch defects before they reach the customer, run root-cause investigations on failures, and drive corrective actions that stop problems recurring. Key Responsibilities *Inspection & Testing* * Perform incoming inspection (IQC) on purchased components, raw materials, and outsourced parts against specifications and drawings * Conduct in-process inspection (IPQC) at defined control points during assembly and production * Carry out final inspection (FQC/OQC) and functional testing before shipment release * Execute First Article Inspection (FAI) for new parts, new suppliers, and after tooling or process changes * Operate measurement equipment — calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM, profile projectors, and functional test rigs * Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to determine correct measurement methods and acceptance criteria *Documentation & Standards* * Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, checklists, and quality work instructions * Record inspection results accurately; maintain traceability records by lot, batch, and serial number * Maintain calibration schedules and records for all measuring and test equipment * Prepare quality reports — defect rates, first-pass yield, scrap, r…
