A Snapshot of Your Day As a Secondary Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the secondary engineering and design of High Voltage (HV) substation projects. You will develop protection and control designs, prepare engineering documentation, and support the integration of substation automation systems while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and customers. You will contribute to the successful delivery of transmission and distribution projects by ensuring reliable protection, control, communication, and automation solutions that meet customer specifications, industry standards, and project requirements. How You'll Make an Impact Develop secondary engineering designs for High Voltage (HV) substation projects. Gather and review technical inputs required for secondary engineering activities. Prepare and review engineering documents, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), Protection Logic Diagrams, and Interlocking Logic Diagrams. Develop signal lists for Substation Automation Systems (SAS), SCADA, protection systems, alarms, and fault recording. Select protection relays and Bay Control Units (BCUs) in accordance with project specifications. Design Local Control Cabinet (LCC) and Protection & Control panel schematics.
