Role Overview Stellar Insulation Ltd is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Solar PV and Air-Source Heat Pump Designer to join our growing renewable-energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate, compliant and practical system designs for domestic solar PV, battery-storage and air-source heat pump installations. You will work closely with surveyors, sales representatives, project coordinators and installation teams to ensure every proposed system is technically suitable, commercially viable and ready for installation. Experience using *Easy PV* for solar designs and *Spruce* for air-source heat pump designs is highly desirable. Key ResponsibilitiesSolar PV and Battery Storage * Produce solar PV and battery-storage designs using Easy PV or similar software. * Review property surveys, roof measurements, photographs and electricity-consumption data. * Prepare roof layouts showing panel quantities, orientation, pitch and usable roof space. * Carry out shading assessments and calculate expected annual electricity generation. * Select suitable solar panels, inverters, batteries and mounting systems. * Design panel strings and check inverter compatibility. * Prepare system schematics and single-line diagrams. * Calculate estimated customer savings, self-consumption and export figures. * Complete DNO applications, including G98 and G99 subm…
